Haveli feels different from AJK's better-known tourism circuits. Forward Kahuta serves as its administrative centre and practical base, but the real attraction lies beyond town: steep green valleys, scattered villages, forest ridges, and the high mountains around Bedori. The district sits in sensitive border country, so travel here needs more flexibility than a conventional resort trip — check current access locally, carry original identification, and respect security instructions and photography restrictions wherever they apply.

Haveli rewards travellers who are willing to slow down. Infrastructure becomes simpler, distances feel longer, and many places are better explored with local guidance — the relative remoteness is precisely the appeal.
